書き留めておこうと思う。
確か、昭和50年代だったと思うが、実家（祖父母の家）の至極近距離で不発弾の発見という出来事があった。
当時、私は実家の近所に住んでいたので、その実家の近隣でよく遊んでいた。実家の横は狭い路地で、その路地の端に金属製の頭の丸い物体が出っ張って埋まっていた。子ども達は、その出っ張っている「金属製の頭の丸い物体」に時々乗ったりして遊んでいた。その物体の形状から、われわれはそれを「バクダン」と呼んでいた。われわれは、それは本物の「バクダン」ではないかと考え、それを親たちに言ったこともあったが、笑われるだけであった。
時が経ち、実家の路地を挟んだ「バクダン」の上にある小屋のようなものを取り壊すことになったのだが、小屋の解体工事中に、その「バクダン」が「不発弾」だと分かって大慌てになった。周辺に一時避難の勧告があり、この顛末は新聞にも載った記憶がある。
「バクダン」が本当に不発弾だったのか、どうして路地の端に頭を出して埋まっていたのかは、今となっても分からない。また、投下された「バクダン」が本物の爆弾であって、着弾したとしても実家の連中どころか、近隣の人々にも気付かれることだろうし、もし破裂していれば、今の私もこの世には存在しないだろう。ましてや、不発弾の頭に乗ったり、蹴ったり、叩いたりしていたあの頃を考えると、よく爆発しなかったなとも思う。いずれにせよ、あの「バクダン」のことは、いまだによく分からない。因みに堺空襲は、第1次から第5次まであり、中心市街地を焼き尽くす第3次堺空襲があったのは、1945（昭和20）年7月10日未明のことである。
In the 1970s, an unexploded ordnance was discovered very close to my grandparents' house.
At that time, I lived in the neighborhood of the house and used to play in that neighborhood. There was a narrow alley next to the house, and at the end of the alley was a metal object with a round head protruding and buried. Children, including myself, were playing with the protruding "metal round-headed objects" from time to time. We imagined it from its shape and called it a "bomb". We thought it was a real "bomb" and told our parents about it, but we were just laughed at.
Over time, the hut above the "bomb" was to be demolished. However, during the demolition work of the hut, it became a fuss when it was discovered that the "bomb" was an "unexploded ordnance." A recommendation for temporary evacuation was issued in the surrounding area, and this event was also published in the newspaper.
I still don't know if the "bomb" was really unexploded or why it was buried at the edge of the alley. Also, if a "bakudan" dropped by a bomber lands near the house with a real bomb, it will be noticed not only by the family at home but also by the neighbors. Also, if the "bomb" had burst, I wouldn't exist in this world. Moreover, I was riding, kicking, and hitting the head of unexploded ordnance, so I was fortunate that "Bakudan" did not explode, considering what I was doing at that time. In any case, I still don't know much about that "bomb". By the way, the Sakai air raids have been recorded from the 1st to the 5th. The day of the third Sakai air raid that burns down the central area of Sakai City is before dawn on July 10, 1945 (Showa 20).
